Hes going to have a rude awakening once NFL veterans start hitting him with regularity. Not to say he wont be successful, but theres too many people here getting hype about some practice runs that any RB with halfway decent speed could do.

I hope he kicks major ass in the NFL, but all this hype is nuts. I doubt he will make half the plays in the NFL that he made in college.

Probably not. He didn't have elite speed in college to begin with, so alot is hinging on his elusiveness translating to the NFL level. His really quick cuts and footwork in small spaces should help that though.

The good thing is even if he's sort of a mediocre RB , he seems to have really good pass catching skills and the aforementioned footwork/cuts should make him into a great slot WR /3rd down back if nothing else. I'm not worried about that part of his game , I'm more curious if he can consistently outrun NFL players and whether his lack of power will hurt him and render us not being able to use him in short yardage senarios . We'll eventually have to get another power back to replace Stewart because McCaffrey isn't going to be pushing piles or doing goal line/ 3rd and 1 up the gut runs with regularity.

He has really good instincts knows how to find those running lanes double trouble is back!

yeah but I aint gonna lie, I was a doubter when we first drafted him. I was all over Fournette's dick, but after watching his highlight reels over and over again and now seeing him @ practice, I'm starting to become a believer. Add to the fact Cam vouched for CmC over Fournette makes the pick even that much more attractive.

Still wouldn't have been mad with Fournette, but CMC does allow this team to be more versatile since the league is going towards more of a space game.

Srs question, in these non padded practices, are defenders not to touch the RB, or do they try and wrap up? What's the protocol?

For this they're not tackling.

They're more working on gap placement, blocking, play recognition etc

CMC would have died on that play if they could have tackled him without pads
