After TD and Olsen....Norwell should be Next

How do you feel about Star vs Norwell? Do you think we should make sure we keep the G over the DT? Personally, I think protecting Cam is more important, but im not an evaluator. Guards may be easier to find in the draft than run stopping DTs.

Of the two, I would rather have Star, because DT's are generally more valuable than Guards.  But we may not be able to sign Star because DT's are more valuable than guards.  Star will cost more money

SMH.  In comparison to who? 100 + tackles , 3 picks, 4 PD's  3.5 sacks.  Who is that a bad year for?  Compared to the previous year he is off by a few sacks.. but the defense over all was worse, especially in the secondary and early in the year on the pass rush.  Why are people making $%$% up about TD just because he wants an extension?

He basically took almost 3 1/2 years off due to injury so he doesn't have the wear of someone who played the same amount of time.  Argue the length of the extension all you want, but don't make up poo about his play.  That's fugging stupid.

We've got some straight up trolls around this place.

Hes not worth anything other than a backup role contract! Anything more and youre slipping right back into dangerous territories of the old days.

Mike tolbert insinuated Gettleman said TD has deteriorated.

And yeah im bitter.. Jerry made one of the most dumbest moves an owner can do. Sorry for not being happy a out that on a message board.

Agree to disagree and no heat or hate

No. Mike Tolbert said that Gettleman told him he was deteriorated when he was being released.

Haven't read all the posts in this thread but anyone who thinks Norwell needs to be done before Star lacks football knowledge. I like Norwell a lot, but I think it's in the best interest to let him walk. Tough to have that much money tied up to 2 guards while paying a lot for a LT and C.

Dont get me wrong, if they can get Norwell done cheap then I am all for it.

Got ya. Missunderstanding.

Still, yes im bitter. I can admit that

but wanted to lock up our younger core before TD isnt out of this world thinking. Im good with a cheap contract year to year basis with Shaq Thompson starting full time

I don't think Norwell should necessarily get "elite" guard money, but I think he should get paid before Star. I love Star but the Falcons offensive line played every snap together last year and you saw what Matt Ryan could do with that kind of continuity.

The only way to unleash Cam's full potential is with a solid offensive line, and a Cam playing at full potential has the strength to carry us to a super bowl.

Going, to be honest, here, why does Olsen need extension or new contract? He just signed a new deal in 2015 with 12 million signing bonus. Since the team popped the bed last year, it seemed they pushed the agenda for Olsen to be the first 3 years 1k receiving TE...... Granted he played through a bad elbow to get this "record", now he wants a new after one year into a new three-year deal.

Regarding Thomas Davis, prove you're loyal by signing a 1 year 1.5 million extension.A true team leader would......

Norwell needs to #1 priority, head trainer Joe said no player has improved in the weight room as much as Norwell. He's earned a new contract in the 9mill per range with 40% guaranteed. You need to keep young hard working types around.

He was the most targeted LB last year and our CBs were awful...

dude looked bad last year. And a very tape oriented, honest, tell it like it is GM thinks he has deteriorated. Which he has. Time to let the 35 year old linebacker play out his last year of his deal and have him walk.

I almost called you out for making this statement at the time..  I was going to ask you where you got that information, because i knew Gettleman never said that.

After seeing this today, I wanted to bring your statement back up.. You want to stick with your made up story?
