Can't see us keeping 4 RBs & a fullback.  I'd predict an extra WR instead or another safety or CB for ST.

I don't see CAP making the roster... but then, we know Marty loves his RBs.  So things have changed a bit since I last did a roster projection.

I also don't see Sanchez making this roster.

Haha Funchess might be cut , nooooooooo way in hell he can be a TE.

I know this has been discussed before and people get flamed for the idea but why is that so far fetched? Didn't he play a WR/TE hybrid position in college? Is it a blocking or learning the TE assignments that is the issue? Serious question because I am not sure I have seen a legit answer as to why this option can't be explored by the coaching staff.

It might causes mismatches but you can't fix soft.

It's combination of multiple issues  first of all you have to block if your gonna be a TE for the Panthers if he can barley beat 5'-10" corner on press coverage no way in hell he can beat LBs and chip DEs in running plays . He is 2 soft and undersized to be a real TE.

Either have him hone his WR skills or cut him. KB has a better of chance of being a TE but even that wouldn't work out.

Interested to see how hurney being here affects the bottom of the roster. Guys like Joe Webb, Jeremy cash, bersin etc.

Agree, things are no longer so clear for a bunch of guys.

What I'd love to try and dig up would be comments by Marty on the radio after the draft.  I wonder what he thinks about multi-position guys.  CMC & Samuel, of course - but they're locks.  So more interesting to know would be what he thinks of guys like Armah, and yes Cash, Webb and maybe Elder.

Love that DL group.  Holy poo.

Also liking the depth at LB.

Unlike many, I think the OL group has a lot of quality and depth to it.  Big Bro Kalil as the anchor.  Young talents at OT (Moton, Williams) and OG (Turner, Norwell).  If Lil Bro Kalil plays just at a slightly above average NFL OT level, we're good at this position.

Cornerback group is young but oh-so talented.  Throwing Captain in there is gonna raise their level, I think.

Group with the biggest questions to me is WR (Are KB and Funchess finally going to perform at the level expected of them?  Will Samuel turn out to be what we hope he will be?  Will Shephard "shock the world"?) and safety (Depth concern here. I'm fine with the starters, but please don't get injured Coleman and Adams).

I have nothing against Joe Webb, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see a young kid like Garrett Gilbert win that 3rd QB position.

Agree, don't think CAP will make it. Keep 3 RBs because Samuel could fill in at RB if needed. I think we will see Samuel in the backfield in some of the pistol packages.

I still disagree with the logic that you keep Fozzy along with Stew, CMC, Samuel as a "fill in".

Fozzy doesn't do anything that CMC and Samuel can't do... he only does it a lot worse.
