"Gman accomplished in 4 years everything Hurney did in 12 years"
Beside the fact Hurney actually did it in 2 years than..
The whole statement is wrong and dumb..
Not to mention Gman kinda did it with alot of Hurney's player..

But before you go on with your dumbshit.. I'm not a Hurney or Gman guy.. I'm a panther fan that likes to live in facts..

Looks like I'll  need to spell it out for you.

Gettleman required only 4 years to achieve the same level of success Hurney had 12 years to achieve.

What makes Dave's accomplishment even more impressive is that he did with one hand tied behind his back thanks to being strapped for cash due to Hurney behaving like Santa Claus when it came to contract negotiations.

Gettleman also had to overcome an environment where certain players were coddled and doted on by ownership, undermining Dave's ability to transition the franchise from a losing culture to a winning one.

Panthers have won two NFC Championships 2003 and 2015.

Panthers have won 6 Division Championships 1996, 2003, 2008, 2013, 2014, and 2015

So in that respect you're right, I am wrong, Gettleman actually achieved MORE in his 4 years than Hurney did in 12 by winning three Division Championships to Hurney's two.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify my statement.

Just a question..

Do you really think all 4 years Gman was here.. He gave us the best chance to win a championship??

Well, let's think about this for a moment WOW!

Yes, yes I do.

Why do I believe that?

During Gettleman's 4 years of leadership with the Carolina Panthers he secured half the organization's Division Championships and half the organization's Conference Championships. That is for a team that has been in existence since 1995.

Another way of looking at it is... Gettleman accomplished in 4 years what it took the rest of the team's managers 18 years to do.  There must have been a lot of losing going on in those 18 years, amirite?

It is beyond belief that there are Panther fans who still don't recognize that Gettleman's four years as GM were the most successful years in Carolina's history... and it isn't even close.

Just imagine what Dave might have accomplished if he hadn't been hog tied by Hurney and JR's cap mismanagement?

So in 2014 after going 13 -3 the year before.. Changing the Oline and WR corp (in 1 offseason) and sending Cam to play with Byron Bell, Nate Chandler at OT's and not 1 wr who caught a pass from Cam on the team. Was giving us the best chance to win??

Wait what about 2016 when he decided to change the whole secondary (getting rid of your best CB for no reason) and play with rookies.. Or not fix anything on the oline that got your QB killed in the superbowl.. That was a winning formula?
Lol

Gettleman has set this team up for long term success after having been the most successful GM in the team's history.

That is the reality.

Was he perfect?  No.

Is Belichick perfect? No.

You can nitpick any GM's decisions to death if you try hard enough, they don't have the luxury of 20/20 hindsight.  Regardless, Dave was significantly better than anyone else who has ever held the the title of Panthers GM and he has the record to prove it.

If that is too hard for you to comprehend, I don't know what else there is to say.

No back to back winning seasons and again we can look at Hurney's 1st 4 years and say the same thing...

Yeah, no point in looking at Hurney's entire body of work, that might make him look like a bad GM or something.

Hey, I've got an idea let's give that guy that accomplished less in his 12 years here than Dave did in his 4 another shot?

Capital idea JR!

And what you call nitpicking i call major mistakes..
Changing whole position groups in 1 offseasons is dumb especially if you had a winning team the year before..

Sending your franchise QB into the season with Byron Bell and Nate Chandler at OT and a whole new WR corp is malepratice..

Talking about Kubula, Kejion Barner, and othet bad picks is nitpicking..
