Your math is correct, but cap hits don't work that way. 11 mil is average cap hit for the deal, most deals are going to  have a smaller cap hit first 2-3 years.

 

For example, Keuchley's last deal was for an average 12 mil cap hit , but cap hit for the first two years is 6 mil a year.

 

Over The Cap is a solid website for finding out contract numbers-Sportrac actually copies OTC numbers. He did an article on the basics of the salary cap here. Spend some time on that site and you'll have a much better idea of the cap.

That is true. I hope he has learned from his last tour. I would think as a Panther fan everyone would feel that way and take a wait and see approach instead of bitching and moaning about the past.  He is our GM for now and needs to do a good job. Hopefully it is interim as someone else needs a shot.
