I recall Hurney saying during his last stint that he didn't have a contract and would be here as long as Jr wanted him around.

I see no reason why that won't be the case this time.

There will be a sham interview process after the season ends and Hurney will be retained.

Has anybody considered that Hurney was brought in to handle the high paying contracts for the veterans (Trai Turner just got his) and then Gettleman comes back to mop up after we finish 8-8 this year?

Might not.. 61 year old GM's with weak to bad personal skills don't get many shots..

He might have to go back being a scout so he doesn't have to do the one on one talking with players and agents..
