Yes someone stated this before but if doesn't want to do GM duties he might be promoted to being the president.

I am holding out hope this turns out in our favor. I don't care if that is a new GM or a revitalized Hurney.

I won't lie, I will be nervous about every contract negotiation that is upcoming.

I don't think becoming "Team President" is a promotion in a football sense.

Agree. Even if they won the SB this season, Hurn had nothing to do with the roster that made it happen.

It's really hard to say this, but yeah, he kind of did.

100% we are better off with Gettleman in charge...but Hurney provided our core, and for better or worse, our coaching staff....so...yeah he definitely had a hand in it.

Cam, Luke, TD, Olsen, Kalil, Stewart, CJ.

Not counting Peppers but he did draft him...he had no role in him returning however.

I would say without any of those guys listed above we have literally 0 chance at a championship.

Not for nothing, but wouldn't that be a kind of slippery way to avoid the Rooney Rule?  I don't see Mr. Richardson being slippery.   He's a straight up businessman, and he LOVES the NFL and will follow the rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when Hurney was initially fired he didn't garner any interest at all from other teams around the league, right? IIRC that was a pretty damning assessment of his GM'ing skills.
