Yeah, remember that time Hurney traded for Satan back in 2011 and signed him to a 300M lifetime contract.  That damn Illuminati Hurney!

I don't understand people that defend hurney. Either you weren't here for his tenure or you repressed it

We're in zero position to tank. Cam and Luke could both get hurt and we'd be a 7-9 team. DG set us up this year so damn well. I can see us winning it all this year (due to DG), Hurney getting the job full time and the roster turning to sh*t.

Oh how we forget some of our injury plagued seasons......

Don't jinx us with that, bro.

Hurney's main skill has always been doing whatever Jerry tells him to do.   We are going back to the "country club" days because that's the way Jerry wants it.  He may be good at negotiating deals with OPM but somehow he has a complete blind spot for the business side of NFL contracts.  He NEEDS to be liked by his players and that is a bad characteristic for any boss to have.

What I would like to know (WE NEED ANSWERS) is what the real cause of Gettlemens' firing was.  Was it something in Dave's performance that did not measure up?  Did G-man do something inappropriate from an HR perspective that warranted his dismissal (doesn't seem likely)?  Or was it G-man's unwillingness to carry out a set of marching orders that Jerry directed him to do?  I'd bet on the last.  At any rate I hope the truth comes out sooner than later.

Either way Hurney will be here long enough at a minimum to give Greg and TD contracts that they don't deserve but hopefully that will be the extent of the damage in his time here.  G-man understood that you only pay for future performance and TD is already bucking the odds and who knows how good Olsen really is in the absence of any other credible receiver on the roster for the last few years.

Has anyone considered that Olsen is aware of this too and that's why he (suddenly) wants to negotiate with 2 years left on his contract before CMC starts getting some of his receptions? His numbers could drop off a cliff this season and that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing from a W-L perspective.
