Will Gettleman's next team be your new favorite team?

I am still undecided if I am switching teams but I will say this, this is by far the most serious I have ever been when considering it. I have established for myself rules criteria for a new team if I so decide to switch.

No NFC south team (for obvious reasons) no contenders as that will be so cliche and too easy, infact, I want a team that has never won a SB.

Has to be very similar to the Panthers, meaning small market, up and coming team that is on the cusp that hasnt made a SB yet.

Right now IF (keyword IF) I decide to switch, my final four has been narrowed down to the Jags, Titans, Texans or Bengals.

Please keep us posted on whether or not you do decide to switch.

we are all on pins and needles

I feel like my fandom did take a blow but I'm still a panther fan. If DG does land somewhere else, I'll pull for them to do well as long as they aren't playing the panthers.... and if they do well against the panthers, I'll probably chuckle a little. Basically, exactly how I felt about 89 and the Ravens.

Jags and Titans??? who switches to a shitty team? Don't forget the Browns are out there too.

It begs the question WHY you were a fan in the first place. I mean seriously, this team has never been one to play at a high level year after year. You like the underdog it seems ( I do also)...but as an NC native there is no chance in hell I would give up the Panthers for any other team!

I do encourage you to switch however. You are not and never were a panther fan if you even consider it. ( regardless of how ever many jerseys your bought, games attended, tailgates smashed at...etc etc. Fan is short for "fanatic"..and that is not you~

just think of all the recent terrible posting as payback for years of having to read "wah gettleidiot is going to let cam walk and he's going to sign with the cowboys and they're going to win fifty straight super bowls and this team doesn't deserve to win because gettleman hasn't surrounded cam with weapons like a REAL GM like ryan grigson does bawwww smitty bawwww deangelo bawwww gross three straight division titles and a 15-1 regular season and conference title isn't good enough and one of them doesn't even count this team doesn't want to win because they didn't sign duron carter or anthony collins or greg jennings and didn't draft dorial green-beckham or da'rick rogers or breshad perriman or phillip dorsett reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hardy did nothing wrong i'm not going to watch the panthers anymore"

Holy fuging poo, we are so screwed. According to every cap web site, with the rollover from this year ($15M), we have close to $30M in cap space in 2018 without any cuts and/or cap increase. Now, I am even more stressed.

If he really said that....I'm even more concerned.

How have I followed the cap for the Panthers more than Hurney over the past few years?

Didn't he say there was "a connection" this entire time.

This is so stupid.

I think most of what you are describing was from a fairly small group of dolts.

What we are witnessing now is a large part of the huddle (many being long time contributors) actively bashing their own players. That is the lowest of the low.

I think that you are overblowing this a little Red.

Most are mad at JR, not the players.  There is nothing wrong with asking for more money, and nothing wrong with the Panthers saying no.

Well there is at least one idiot who is bashing the players, and that's @SJTG4.

I am sure there are others...it's been a whirlwind of a week.
