Back in the day, Marty was doing a pretty good job, and managed to put together the personnel and environment that got us to our first Superb Owl and gave us play off births about every other season. As things go, we've done better than half the teams in the league over the last decade and a half. Both GMs have gotten their share of criticism, and both had fans turn on them at some point. Whatever happened behind the scenes, and trust me it will stay behind the scenes, we're moving on. Marty was brought back in as interim GM because he's local, has organizational experience here and has stayed on top of what is happening in the team. Will he still be GM for 2018? I have no idea, but JR will get to see if Marty has learned anything over the years as this season goes on.

I wouldn't expect big, disastrous deals, or huge trades. Really, get some perspective. The main part of the roster is set and training camp will sort out the last 10 or so roster spots. Offensive and defensive schemes are set or are being finalized. And contract negotiations will continue as they had before, behind closed doors.

And Jerry Richardson wants a winning team just as much as you do. And he has fewer years left to see that Lombardi trophy hoisted in Charlotte than you do. Give the Big Cat a break, he deserves it.

Personally I blame last season on DG and I dont know how you could not.  He took a  superbowl caliber Def  and Secondary and replaced it with rookie draft picks and expected to play great again.  Jno was a mistake esp with Tillman heading out  and no confidence in Bene Wikiwikiwerewolfery
