GMan reminded me of the Data Analysts that I work with here at the job. Smart as all get out, and when it comes to crunching the numbers and getting the data out there, they're great at it. When it comes to dealing with people, they're socially inept, which is why many of them are not able to land managerial positions. Maybe JR should've kept Gettleman on to handle the business side of it all, while bringing on Hurney or someone to present that data that Gettleman gathered. *shrugs*

Anyways, he was aight. Look forward to us possibly getting a real superstar in the front office. One who can excel in both business and social aspects of the job

Naw, dont buy that.  Some folks can do it both ways.  Name any athlete that would take being let go well.  Not many out there.  See Ohers comments on Dave.  Very telling.  And no I'm not saying he is perfect who is?

There is more than one path to a championship, and Gettleman doesn't have the only map. His stubbornness and/or inability to roster build situationally arguably cost us a championship when we were right on the cusp. He did a lot of great things, but the jury was still out on whether he could or would finish the deal.

He has loaded this team with talent from the top of the roster to the bottom and he did it while digging us out of cap hell. What more can you ask from an NFL GM?

Well... he could have been nicer and talk with a sweet, calming voice to the snowflake players in the locker room.  They get they feeling hurt when you talk all meanie pants to them and don't give them a full sippy cup.

Well, how come you take Ohers words positively but discount the others who have come out against DG? It's because it fits your argument. We all do it, but unfortunately for you and DG, there's been more to come out negatively against Gettleman than positive. Some can do it both ways, but the limited data or the data we have is telling us that Dave couldn't do both.

At the end of the day, all we can judge him on is his current stats and he was not able to build a team that's had back to back winning seasons, and there's more losing seasons than winning. Even in our division crown 3 peat, we won one of those in a historically bad division, where we were able to win with a losing record.

He was aight. Hopefully we can get someone in here that's great and can be great business wise, and the very least average socially.

The others were digruntedly athletes who we know have egos.  That Gettleman challenged them is good business IMO.  Good luck with finding that GM you described if you consider Dave below average socially.

Ahhhh, just saw you liked that post that referred to the players as snowflakes. I've learned that any person that refers to anyone as a snowflake in this day and age isn't worth arguing with. I know one of the main reasons you like Gettleman is because "he put them damn millionaire athlete players whining and such in their place" by trying to lowball them. I wish those that use that snowflake word could look at themselves in these threads the past few days. Going all loco, emotional and crazy. It was kind of, I don't know, "snowflake" like.

Good day..
