Um....you clearly weren't around. When Gettlemen was hired, the Panthers were $16 million over the salary cap.

$16 million....we finally got back to a point where we could bring guys back that we didn't have money to sign again due to salary cap issues. Mostly from stupid high contracts handed out to guys like Charles Johnson, who never performed up to his potential. Sure, he drafted Cam, but no club who was drafting number 1 that year would've passed.

I can understand your viewpoint. Although I invest in a lot of time and money in it, sports is purely entertainment for me and the last few days have been entertaining if nothing else. I pick and choose what to get upset over in life nowadays and sports is low on that totem pole. I get upset during games and such but that angst is short lived.

I'm a fan who doesn't have the money to put into it and not care. If i'm dropping cash into a product, I want the product to perform. Sure, you are dealing with people, but you are also dealing in success and the Panthers didn't have a ton of success under Hurney.

I suppose the positive to this is ticket prices will go down.

Don't see that happening....not to make matters worse but I believe JR actually raised tickets prices after the 1-15 season didn't he?

BOA will go back to being half empty midseason in 2019 when TD and Olsen count for 30% of our cap and we are 2-6. Maybe then JR will get serious about winning.

He won't care, he showed this week where he has W's on the overall scale of things. He just fired a guy 2 seasons removed from a 15-1 record and 3rd consecutive playoff appearance
And replaced him with a guy he canned because fans quit showing and lost some $ because we were 2-14 . But brought him right because he was a yes man and a friend while the other guy was "mean"

"95% of the population is an idiot"

The irony lol

I'm glad the Gettleman circle jerk crew will soon be a thing of the past. Maybe you join him on his new team

Just a reminder that In the past we were urged by message board guys to protest what was wrong with the team:

1) it was suggested that everyone bring signs and banners to training camp that said "Remember arizona" after the Jake turnover game.

2) it was suggested that we picket the stadium because we needed a franchise QB and management was not showing interest in trading for Jay Cutler when he was available.

Just sayin'
