The only way Smitty comes back is to retire a Panther. He's not playing football anymore, nor should he. Who the hell would want to watch him play in a Panther uniform as a shell of himself while forcing a younger guy to sit the bench?

To be fair, I think Smitty got all the mouth punching out of his system while he was here the last time. That's also part of the reason he can't play anymore too, ironically.

Let me just say this. If Smitty would come back, at least to retire a panther, imagine what that would do for the fanbase. After all, we are the ones that help pay the players salary. Steve Smith is the greatest former Panther player alive today. Imagine what Samuel would be like if he were tutored by Smith, even for a short while (coaching or playing). JR please reach out to those disgruntled players and mend the fence. Maybe, JR got some bad news and thought to himself, F*CK IT, Superbowl or bust before I'm out.
