They should have just named him a consultant or something. 

Firing a guy, hiring his replacement, then firing his replacement after four years right before camp and then bringing the first guy back reeks of desperation, incompetence, and lack of any discernible identity or direction. 

Our franchise is legit more of a laughing stock than the Browns or Raiders even at their most dysfunctional.
