I'll put it this way...one player I know that was VERY excited about being back is IM'ing and texting family members, "WTF?".

I was so excited and now it seems this is falling apart in front us before it started.

I feel bad for posting this but I just can't believe the arrogance and meddling he is showing in this situation.  

 

Don't feel bad when it's the truth sig. this is rivaling the two super bowl losses as the most disheartened I've been as a fan of this team. Contemplated not watching until JR passes but the poo show will be too crazy and entertaining not to watch if Hurney indeed is the interim/next GM. Un fuging believable.

I have never abandoned this team and never will but I will become a casual observer if they re-hire him as full time GM.

1. He is a good first round drafter  (no issues)  After that it is a crap shoot.

2. He is so far of Jerry's Ass that he'll sink the franchise to appease Jerry.

3.  As I recall he was supposed to have been a Cap Expert and god knows how he screwed that up.

We need a GM that can be in the middle.  Take care of the Vets Olsen and TD to a point it benefits both.

In Olsen's case we should extend him to remain a Panther for the remainder of his career but clauses if he starts to decline significantly.

TD's case I think we should extend him as well but also have clauses that protect the Panthers.  It would be such a shame to watch TD in a Tolbert mode.  Obvious decline.  It would tarnish him so badly in the eyes of those that love him.   He is what this franchise stands for and deserves to retire a Panther but in the same sense he needs to realize that when his time has come....his time has come.  Father time does not discriminate.

Hurney is about to make a few players dreams come true when it comes to their new/revised contracts.

Panther fans will be getting the sads in a couple of years when they watch much of our depth and young talent move on to greener pastures after there is no money left in the piggy bank to resign them thanks to Big Daddy's and Marty's largesse.

Oh well, it is not all bad, I hear Jimmy Clausen is available for a song.

Hurney had 10 years and never did anything close to what Gettleman have done. If anything Hurney was giving way to much time.

There is no way Hunrey would have won with a cap hell like what he created.
