Yep. It's Happening: "#Panthers owner Jerry Richardson and Marty Hurney meeting today, league source said. Expected to be named interim GM."

Dear lord you're delusional.

Do I think Shaq is a rotational player? Hell no. I don't want Davis resigned. I want Shaq to play. But that's not going to happen and it hasn't happened and now it's already coming up on year 3 for Shaq who has made zero impact

Has Shaq been a rotational player on this team? Yep.

Could've had Landon Collins instead but DG drafted a player that wasn't going to start instead. That's a problem.

Terrell McClain, Sione Fua, Brandon Hogan, Kealoha Pilares, Lawrence Wilson, Amini Silatolu, Joe Adams, Jimmy Clausen, LaFail, Armanti Edwards, Eric Norwood, David Gettis, Jordan Pugh, Everrette Brown, Dwayne Jarrett, I mean, do I need to go on?

The Hurney slurpers are out in full effect today. You people really do have clouded memory. Hurney was absolute ass in drafting. People love to bring up one or two players from a draft to validate Hurney. Oh ok, Cam Newton? Look at the rest of that horrid draft. Oh ok, Greg Hardy in later rounds? Look at the beginning of that fuggin draft. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. It takes more than one or two picks to make a team, which is why our team was never a contender every year until Gettleman got here.

boy it's so nice having all these idiot trolls that just signed up spamming threads full of nonsense about how hurney really was so great

funny didn't see any of you fugtards around when hurney was running the team into the ground year after year and we were plodding through 7-8 win seasons every year

And the players you quoted were all outside the top ten.

Because I was showing that if not for a top ten pick, Hurney was only able to pick up above avg players. Jimmy Clausen anyone? Everette Brown? I believe both can be considered as first rounders! No?

Hurney found Josh Norman, Greg Hardy, Gary Barnidge, Brad Nortman in late rounds. All Pro Bowlers. He found other pieces too. Lots of players he drafted late stayed and played in the league for a long time. Just go look it up yourself. Geoff Schwartz, Nick Hayden are two that come to mind. Or how about the 7th round nickel cornerback Captain Munnerlyn the Panthers just resigned? Let's go for some more with Evan Mathis, Charles Johnson, Ryan Kalil.

This team was built on Marty Hurney's foundation. It's a lie to say otherwise. Dave Gettleman since joining the Panthers has made sure this organization has had the fewest draft day selections in the league. The antithesis of the Patriots way. His "eye for talent" netted us players such as Devin Funchess for three picks.

First off, PB is a popularity contest and not the best marker for talent evaluation. Norwell deserved it last year and didn't get it.

You have also named a ton of one hit wonders. Derek Anderson is a pro bowler but I don't think people tout him in the same vein as KK Short who has been to just as many pro bowls. Barnidge was a one year wonder. Hardy was a one year wonder, Nortman - Why do you keep bringing him up? He's an average punter at best in the league.

I have always given Hurney credit where it's due for drafting the guys that are still on the roster. But you know what he wasn't able to do with those guys while they were on our roster? Win. Because you can't have 3 superstars and crap surrounding them, you need those superstars and the supporting cast around them to help them, and he wasn't able to obtain mid level talent because he spent so much money on crappy talent surrounding the good talent and then wouldn't cut bait when it didn't work out.
