Won't notice a difference until year 2. When the big "friends" contracts to the soon declining vets and let the young studs like norwell, turner, and Star walk because not enough left in the pot to go around to them.

Then we will see the difference. Just 2010 all over again.

The firing won't have immediate impact. Long term though.. Depending on the new GM and how much money will be invested in players will have a huge impact in the years to come.

Firing Gettleman has no bearing on this season at all. Y'all know that right? It is about the bigger issue of long term success and sustainability which I felt like we were on the right tract with Dave as GM

I can see Rivera reverting back to how he was his first few seasons here honestly. He seems to need a fire under his butt to keep him aggressive in his coaching style. I feel like G-man brought that and I'm not sure the next Hurney would do the same.
