Honestly, I would think about it with Olsen but there is no reason whatsoever to be in a hurry about it when the guy still has two years on his deal.

Olsen is set to have a $10.35 million cap hit (2nd biggest for a TE per spotrac) this season, and $9.75 next year because his contract was back loaded. Adding a few years to his contract ($10.5 / year avg would make him the highest paid TE), doesn't actually hurt us right now. If you buy into the rationale that the cap limit will continue to rise every year, give him his money! If we get creative again, we might actually free up cap space for 2017 and 2018. Obviously, no one knows the amount of money he is asking for, but I seriously doubt he's out to screw the Panthers.

I'm going to withhold comment on TD since LB money get's much higher than TE money. Also, although TD's a hero of mine, if he never played another snap, his replacement is already on the roster.

Gettleman was doing what he was brought here to do... and he was fired for it.

He was given the keys to the farm truck and was punished for getting it dirty while he drove it...

My fear is that we keep cycling through guys at the GM position who are Hurney then Gettleman without any consistency moving forward. I'm really just concerned for the lack of direction moving forward. I don't want the owner running things, that's how the Browns, Redskins and Cowboys the past 20 years happen. Give the keys to a guy that knows how to drive, not one who knows how to keep the car clean.

Yeah lets give 2 aging stars who helped us to a 6-10 season mega deals

You can't blame the season mostly on Greg and Davis who still had good seasons individually. Last season was much more about injuries than anything else and teams knowing what our weaknesses were from the SB/2016 Game 1 and continually exploiting them (namely the weak OTs and head-hunting or otherwise frustrating Cam).
