Baisiclly losing front office personnel like the Pres and Brandon Beane may have been more of a clash with G-Man than we knew.

That's the gist of it. Again, 100% speculation. I am only trying to get an idea if people here would view that differently than about clashes with former and current players.

The bottom line is that Norman wasn't nearly as good as Bradberry as a rookie. If it was because he was in the coaches dog house, that does not make it any better.

The reason Norman stayed in Rivera's doghouse was two-fold: (1) he was a hot-head and (2) he was a free-lancer (in other words, instead of staying in his zone in Rivera's ZONE defense, he'd do his own thing).

Guess what?  Neither of those attributes were a problem with Bradberry who was one of the best rookie corners in the league last year if not THE best.

I have to wonder if Gettleman has terrible people skills. He always struck me as kind of dopey and disconnected from his co-workers. If you're co-workers can't stand you then it's really just a matter of time before you're replaced assuming you are replaceable. Gettleman is certainly replaceable.

Timing is a bit weird, but I'm not all too upset with the move. I think we can and will do better than Dave. While you don't have to be Hurney-esque and start handing out large contracts, I don't think you have to be such a hard a** like Dave, where he obviously pissed some players off, either. We need to find that GM that's in the middle.

Anyways, funny thread. All who got on individuals in previous posts for overreacting are overreacting. Let's just wait and see how this pans out. I also find it funny that those who would attack anyone who questioned JR about anything, are now coming at JR

I'm pretty sure the hot head part was a major consideration in letting him walk too.

I hope we do better than Dave.. But I'm not confident that Jerry will find that person and let him do his actual job without interfering.

Yeah, I have, and I don't agree with you and neither do the statistics or the tape.

I also like the cute comment about the unsportsmanlike penalties. Which was a nice narrative over the few years Norman was benched, but if you actually look into it you'll find he wasn't anything but average when it came to penalties. Now Teddy Williams, that's a penalty machine.

Josh Norman rookie year - 16 games played, 12 games started - 1 interception, 7 passes defended, 50 solo tackles

James Bradberry rookie year - 13 games played, 13 games started - 2 interceptions, 10 passes defended, 47 solo tackles
