Dave Gettleman FIRED as Panthers GM

After 14 pages, all I got to say in this thread is...

 

No matter the reasoning (all 100% speculation) the Panthers just fired the best GM in the history of the franchise.  In the month of July, this is bad news.

one thing to remember...Jerry was a player in the NFL....I can seem someone who knows

the work and sacrifice not liking the way some players were let go, and Greg and TD perhaps being disrespected.

Being better than Marty f'n Hurney isn't an accomplishment. A duck could sit in the GM chair and be better than Hurney.

But you're right, if JR is calling the shots than it don't matter who the GM is we're f*cked

I'm not even upset that we fired Gettleman. I just want the team to do well no matter who is GM. But the timing and the reasoning are both atrocious. And if it's because he hurt feelings making tough decisions, we are screwed

In February, the #Panthers saw President Danny Morrison resign. Assistant GM Brandon Beane left for BUF. Today, GM Dave Gettleman is out.

Gettleman appears to have been a toxic dude. Great numbers guy apparently, but not much else.
