I think Nipple Shorts pissed one too many people off over the course of the past few seasons.  Great cap manager, ( arguable ) great finder of talent but seemingly piss poor leadership / people skills.

Seriously? Bradberry is most definitely better than J-No was at the same point in his career.

At the same point in his career? Well Josh Norman at this point in his career was in Rivera's dog house for some unknown reason, and Bradberry was forced into being the top CB as there were no other alternatives.

I hope to god a second round pick that is given the number one CB spot is playing better than a fifth round pick that couldn't get playing time.

I've never really been a fan of Gettleman, and it started with Smitty.

He's done okay with the cap, but on a player relationship level he has seemingly left a lot to be desired.

We need a blend of Hurney and Gettleman moving forward. Maybe a former player or at least someone that isn't all about the bottom line.

At one point, Rivera was touted for letting players be themselves. Then when we went rigid and started not doing that, we fell. I firmly believe most, if not all, of that rigidity came from David Gettleman.

Let's chill, and do right by the guys that do right for us.  Foster a winning mentality, on and off the field. Don't reward mediocrity, and make guys want to play here and want to play hard.

Yup.  That's exactly how I would have handled it as well.

You own the team, and you hired me to run the team.  You want control...here it is.

I'll see myself out.

Wanna know a good way to ensure the only GM you get in the future is a yes-man?

Fire a GM for doing his job and for not taking care of your "boys".

Because ain't no self-respecting established team executive gonna work under those kind of conditions.

Olsen needs extension, Davis too

Cam will need to be paid higher after another likely MVP season

Trai, Norwell, Star, all need contracts

Gettleman was going to play hard ball getting all that done when it's not really that hard. You extend them all, and give all what they want because they are key to our success

Unfortunately you can't do that or you become a pushover. There are 53 players on this team and not all of them can get paid like all pros. No matter how good all these guys are, if you dump all your cap space into them, the rest of the guys playing beside them are going to be garbage and you still lose. It's a delicate balance and Gman knew how to do it. He's got the rings, not JR.

The bottom line is that Norman wasn't nearly as good as Bradberry as a rookie. If it was because he was in the coaches dog house, that does not make it any better.
