But is that a good thing? I'm sure there is some sort of balance between that and Hurney-type moves. I'm not sure what that is, I'm guessing TD was just untouchable, if the rumors are correct.

i don't know how to feel about this, I've cooled off DG since Norman and the tag, still think he was a great GM but the timing here doesn't feel good. Just a lot of questions, who is taking over? Who is giving out extensions now? Is JR taking control of the contracts? This seems like a disaster tbh.

Yeah who would even be a good candidate? Any recently fired GM's still floating around? You'd maybe have to snatch an underling from some other team.

Smith and Norman have already sounded off on this. Now just need MeAngelo to complete the trifecta.

I just wanna thank whoever it was that first referred to him as "MeAngelo". I love that name. It makes me smile. Pretty pivotal season coming up, this wild ride is just getting started.

We were 17-2 with a Super Bowl berth less than 18 months ago and we've had a good-to-great offseason this year. Gettleman has a fantastic W-L record here. And he's gone just like that. I've been a fan since Day 1 of this team and this might be the most shocking decision I've ever seen Richardson/the team make.

Remember that Josh Norman came into his own that season. As well as Cam Newton, and Luke taking it to another level for that matter. These were all Hurney picks.

ron and shula are still there and gettleman is gone.

worst move they could have made.

Regardless of what you think of any of our coaches, letting RR or Shula go right now would be more detrimental to the upcoming season than losing DG.

Are you going to give the next GM credit for his success or are you going to say it was all Gettleman. This team's success has been built of Hurney's core, how often y'all forget that.

People in the Carolins have problems with letting things and people go. We can't pay everyone. As much as I love TD, he's 34. How much of a contract does he want at that age? We need to be scouting his replacement and Greg Olsen's (32, he probably has a couple good years left).

We're also hella old at defensive end and safety. There's a lot the next GM has to do and think about.

sick response bro, troll harder

The only people that are happy that Gettleman is gone are people that don't understand football. This is a terrible move at an even worse time and our franchise just took a huge step back. Jerry is going to hire a sock puppet and we're fuged

we will probably go back to handing out massive contracts to mediocre player so long as they are "our guys", screwing our cap and not letting us bring in any outside FAs worth a damn, and go 7-9 or 8-8 every year with damn near zero chance of a championship

can't wait

Was he worth his money in Washington.

He was most certainly a product of the scheme.

Bradberry was doing nearly as well in his ROOKIE year.

Well ask their fans. I've read quite a lot of posts, and most say he was well worth it.

Also, Bradberry is in no way doing as well. Find me one statistic that shows me this, or hell just compare highlights when that fails.
