Have not heard back yet whether Jerry Richardson will speak to press. Has a quick statement in team site release. Think public wants more.

Definitely think he needs to show his face and at least give an explanation, however PC it may be.

Jerry Richardson is about to get a yes man GM, and give out huge contracts to old VETS.  Then we will watch young talent leave, and be back at the bottom of the South.  I hate to be a downer, but this was a move I would expect with the Browns not the Panthers.

Eventually, the 49ers cut Jerry Rice and Joe Montana. Someone has to make the hard decisions. Gman, for all his faults, approached this like a business. Not perfect but a hell of a lot better than what we have seen before. I know you want a family style locker room, but consistently winning fixes a lot of locker room issues. 

This does seem a bit extreme though if it was just to get Smitty to sign a 1 day contract.
