Ranking WR Corps by team

Considering the fact that Olsen is a TE, 17 seems very generous. Right now, KB is still our only proven NFL WR. Funchess is looking like a bust, then we have a rookie, a career special teamer, a fast guy with barely over 800 receiving yards entering into his 5th NFL season, and a bunch of JAGs.

I think the group has potential and cpuld be much better than they are on paper, but let's be honest, on paper it's trash.

We have no proven WRs on the entire roster.  Benjamin and Funchess have periodically showed flashes but in general have been underwhelming and unreliable. Samuel is a rookie , we have no idea how our new guys aquired in free agency will perform on our team (Charles Johnson , Shepard )   . McCafrey is a RB and Olsen is a TE and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being our best receiving options .

Cam truly has been missing for his entire career a WR with good size but also is fast, stong, great YAC, like TO , Julio Jones, AJ Green . KB and Funchess are too slow , too timid , and unreliable hands and route running .

Exactly . The good thing is that our WR core looked like ass going into 2015 and it turned out a great year.  Alot of that was due to cotchery being so reliable .

I guess another way to look at our roster is there's alot of unknowns but alot of potential . McCafrey and Samuel

136 receptions, 1949 yards and 16 TDs in the first two years (including 1 post ACL year) = proven NFL receiver.

In NFL history, yes, all time history, KB is #23 in receptions, #30 in yards and #18 in TDs among WRs in their first two seasons. I still don't think people realize that he's actually done very well and I don't recall seeing anyone else in that top 25ish range who suffered an ACL tear before year 2.

When I actually watch him in games his inconsistency frustrates me. Yes he has yards and TDs but you can't look at it from a purely stastical standpoint when this dude is doing poo like getting the ball stripped from him late in the season and dropping critical catches when it matters. The two seasons he has played with the team , both losing seasons.

I'm not blaming it all on KB, far from it, but you cant just put a halo on his head from looking at numbers and not doing the eye test. I think that Cam likes to zero in on him too much too, maybe that's mostly on Cam but its a way that Benjamin negatively affects the team.

We know he'll never be a burner and maybe be more like a glorified receiving TE than anything else. But I wish he just had that Steve Smith kinda attitude, I've seen him throw people like rag dolls and run through DBs when he wants to. But I don't see it consistently. He could be an elite powerful possession WR if he wanted to but right now he looks alot more like a complimentary #2 WR from the way he plays most of the time.

It's not good, sir.  Not good at all.
