Lamb + Frank = Leaders of the 2nd Unit??

So everyone knows our starting lineup should improve with Dwight dominating the boards and being an actual rim protector - but what about our bench. It seemed like Kemba had to GO BANANAS every night for us to just be In The Game at the end of the 4th qtr. Our bench would drop the ball - Sessions had a terrible season and he was suppose to lead the 2nd unit. Unfortunately he crashed & burned but we were still 19th.

So looking forward to this year - we come to Lamb and Frank - 2 of the biggest enigmas on the roster. But 2 guys who have improved over the seasons that they have been here:

Lamb has increased his averages since arriving 2 years ago:
+2.5ppg +1.5rpg between 2015-16
+1.0ppg +0.5rpg between 2016-17

Frank took an even bigger jump from his rookie-sophomore year:
+4.0ppg +0.5rpg +1.0apg

I think both will benefit from playing alongside MCW and having Zeller down low. Hawes was never a true center and Frank was not able to grow in the stretch 4 position like he should have. I feel he can take a much bigger step this year from playing with Zeller.

2016-17:
Lamb = 9.7ppg - 1.2apg - 4.3rpg
Frank = 11.7ppg - 2.2apg - 4.5rpg

If they can both combine for around 25 ppg and 10rpg, that will be huge because if you then factor in 20ppg from the combo of Zeller, Monk and MCW = that puts us in the Top 10 Bench scoring team in the league for sure. http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/teamstats/17/7/pts/1-1

To sum this all up - we haven't been this deep of a team in a while and if Lamb + Frank can take a small step in efficiency - we can take a lot of pressure of Kemba having to go Bonkers night in an night out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the question is - Can we rely on Lamb and Frank to lead the 2nd unit and not lose leads when our starters get rest?

I would expect Carter-Williams to become the lead guy of the 2nd unit. Everyone should benefit. Anytime we need an energy boost, we could see him as a point SG with Weber defending a smaller PG. We now have unusually good all-round versatility matchup-wise.
