Stye on eyelid.

This motherfuger won't go away. It's been about 5 days and has only increased in size. It hurts and is making my life miserable. I went to the doctor yesterday and they put me on antibiotics so i know i need to give those time. Otherwise if it doesn't improve by tomorrow the doctor said i'll need minor surgery (lancing). I've tried warm compress, teabags, etc. and nothing seems to be working. Any advice?

That sucks Dex...they are brutal! What your doctor said is about right but it should go away without lancing. My son had suffered getting 2-3 a year for about 5 years and they finally seem like they have stopped after a few rounds of antibiotics.

All you can do is keep it clean, take your antibiotics, and use a clean, warm compress to sooth it. I agree CWG also...get the STYE ointment. It provides some relief and seems to help it go away.

that sucks Dex. I would definitely stop taking antibiotics, as that's only depleting your good bacteria while not even being the most effect approach to remedy the stye. If you continue on them, make sure you drink a lot Kombucha or take a probiotic supplement.

a stye is basically a bacterial infection, so you need to use some sort of antibacterial, anti fungal cream or oil.

I would look into a carrier oil, such as jojaba, argan, or coconut oil, as all those oils have antibacterial and antifungal properties. They all contain beneficial ingredients, including vitamin E, vitamin B complex, silicon, chromium, copper and zinc, with a very high percentage of iodine, which gives these oils the power to heal.

Whichever oil you choose, add a couple of drops of tea tree oil on a cotton ball and dab all around your stye. Just be careful to avoid contact with your eye as tea tree oil is very strong, and should not be used alone.

if that doesn't work, I would try some apple cider vinegar, as this has proven to be a very powerful antiseptic.

let me know how it goes.
