Who left for FA Big?

Recommended Posts

I think if Cho could grab Tyler Zeller on a vet minimum deal that would make sense imo. The fact that he's Cody's brother is an obvious connection, but he is a good 3rd string big that can play pick and roll offense. With Howard in CLT, if Cliff runs some sort of 4 out 1 in system like they did in Orlando, Tyler could be a reserve in that set as an interior scorer.

Ever since Boston waived him, no one seems to be reaching out so he could probably be an option at that minimum price tag

Marreese Speights would be ideal but we would need to offer him more money than we have, unless we can somehow get rid of Lamb for space.

But to be more realistic how about Donatas Motiejunas or Jordan HIll?

I am still about trying to find a way to flip Lamb for Shabazz Muhammed even though Shabazz can't shoot I still think he has potential.

With Howard in, the Hawes, Hibbert, and Plumlee minutes should be distributed nicely with our other bigs, but we're looking at a back of roster fill..hmm..We may wait for a salary dump.

I personally want a 3-4 that can shoot but this ain't happening:

I've always liked Sullinger and thought he was under-rated when he left Boston.

A couple of bigs have been waived that have some potential - Tarik Black and to a lesser extent Steve Zimmerman (who pretty much fits the profile of a Charlotte big 100%)

I was pretty high on Adreian Payne when he was coming out of college and was convinced he was going to be a solid stretch 4 (i'd like for him to be given a chance so that that confession could come true!) or we could give one of the lottery busts a go from 2011/12 - Derrick Williams or Thomas Robinson (thinking back, weren't a lot of us looking to draft him?!)

    • Fans are fed up with this organization's endless string of failures. And, while Morgan's less than a year into his current position, everything he's done is barreling down the same path shat out by his predecessor. If we're just pointing out this alarming lack of discrepancy between the performances of two GMs, it's really not hating. He's just proving to not be a good hire. And, hey, it's alright, because whoever Tepper hires next will, at best, only suck a little bit less. I don't mind people who are optimistic and hope Morgan turns out to be better than he's been thus far. That'd be great. None of us are rooting for him to fail. However, the embarrassing pattern of decisions persists. And it's not a good look.
    • You have to view everything that was done in 2024 through the ‘eliminate excuses for Bryce Young’ lens IMO. It only makes sense that way.     If you allow for that, you will see that Diontae fulfilled his purpose.
    • The Panthers' beat writer called the Johnson trade return "a warm bottle of RC Cola." If you're quick to discount every bit of news that disagrees with your view, maybe your view is the problem. Morgan deals himself a bad hand and he deserves every bit of criticism for it. Fitterer was the worst GM ever, but Morgan is a very similar brand of awful. Certainly when it comes to trades since 2021, Morgan's body of work makes him at best, only one of the worst negotiators in the history of North American professional sports. That's simply pointing out the numerous shortcomings he's put on display. If I point at a guy who shot someone and say "he murdered a guy," I'm not hating on him -- I'm pointing out what he did. If Morgan wants to not be labeled an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better, simply stop being an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better. Or, wait until Tepper makes him the fall guy after Evero.
