Hornets Summer League Thread

Hornets fall to the Pacers 84-77, they did pick up two points in the standings for winning two quarters.

- Graham looked like the best player on the floor again and recorded 18 points (50%), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

- Weber was much better today. He looked a lot more composed and ran the offense pretty well even knocking down a couple mid-range jumpers. His defense was great as always.

- Not a great game for O'Bryant. His shot wasn't falling and when that's not happening he's not very noticeable.

- Bacon was more active today and knocked down a few shots but other than that he was pretty invisible. He kind of reminds me of Lamb. When he's knocking down shots you notice him and when he's not, he's just kind of there. Nothing really good about him but nothing bad either.

- Sulaimon is a very aggressive player. He tends to make a decent amount of mistakes but he's very confident with the basketball. He probably won't find a roster spot with the Hornets but I could see him latching on elsewhere.

Treveon Graham could definitely see some time as the 5th wing (Batum, MKG, Monk, Lamb, Graham).

He's having a fantastic summer league.

Bacon has a great mid-range game but he definitely needs to work on extending his range as well as his handles. He's going to be a little bit of a project.

Hornets beat the Thunder 95-51 and pick up 6.5 points in the standings.

- Graham led the way again with 19 points (50%), 8 rebounds (4 off), 1 assist, and 2 steals. He's Charlotte's best player by a long shot if not the best player in Orlando. He's been very active on both ends of the floor and has been very efficient from behind the arc.

- Bacon had his best game to date with 17 points (50%), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Like Graham, he was active on both ends of the floor. Bacon's mid-range game is money (no wonder Cho mixed him up with Wade). Bacon does need to work on extending his range as well as his ball handling. At times, he tends to lose the ball when taking his defender off the dribble. Overall, it was a solid game for him.

I am convinced Graham should make the team.  Every time I watch these games he shines.  Sure he may be third string but he could really help if injuries hit.   Also we may have something here with Bacon.  Long 2 that can defend, score and has pretty good court awareness.
