Justin Williams Returns To Carolina

Recommended Posts

I miss a couple years and I'm so far behind. The Panthers have consumed my every being. Also didn't want to watch another disappointing team last year after the Panthers epic fail. Now this year I'm on the rise with both (even though I've been keeping up with Canes on FB). There's just such a huge gap between Panthers and everything else. Panthers always first and true love.

Huge move. A productive top 6 winger and all of a sudden the roster looks solid. If we stay healthy and can play to the level that we're capable, we're in the mix in the Metro this season. Probably not top 3 considering the sheer level of competition in the Metro, but a wildcard at least seems like it should be in the cards for us.

Penguins & Caps lost a lot in FA man.  I'm fairly happy with our offseason.  So stoked dude.

    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
    • Because playoff hockey and regular season hockey aren’t the same thing.  It’s a combination of the game intensity being dialed up with loose officiating.
