People wanting him over Funchess are ignoring the fact that DGB has already been released by two teams in a three year span, while Funchess has managed not to be a dipshit and stuck with us. He might be mediocre right now, but he's not a distraction and he's not so bad that we have outright cut him while he's still on his rookie deal. From all accounts DGB is garbage enough to be removed by the two teams whose WR depth rivals OURS in shittiness, so let that sink in too. 

I'd rather stick with Funchess who is a year younger, doesn't have any off field baggage associated with his name, and already knows the playbook.

The grass isn't always greener. Sometimes it even has piss spots and weeds.

If you really think he's better than Funchess that's embarrassing. Funchess is a full year younger and has been slightly more productive in an offense that he's at best the #3 option. Meanwhile DGB was drafted to be the Titans #1 WR, failed miserably (remember him giving up on a route leading to Coleman picking it off 2 years ago?) and failed in Philly as well. Not to mention he is an unmotivated POS.

 

e: But I guess the Huddle needs some athletic freak WR to fawn over and bitch about (see: Duron Carter, DGB, Moritz Boehringer, Byrd, that Olympian we had at camp, etc)

DF had 493 snaps in '16 and 492 in '15. DGB had 640 in '16 and 580 in '15.

Sounds like he has a bunch of personal problems. If his talent was worth his other issues, he wouldn't have been released right now. Timing.
