But thing is Bill Coward has had Back to back winning season proir to those losing seasons aswell. Unlike fox never having back to back winning seasons with the panthers.

Fox's record with the Panthers is better than most coaches in the league. He has never had back to back losing seasons either like Cowher did at the same point in his career.

Walsh stopped coaching in 1989. The 1994 team looked completely different. Look it up.

The only thing different about the '94 49ers team was the defense. The whole d-line and linebackers where either in their first or second year with the team in 1994. Plus they brought in Deion Sanders that year.

On offense they still had the hall of famer Steve Young plus Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Brent Jones, Steve Wallace, Jesse Sapolu. Basically the whole offense was the same from the Walsh era.

Seifert was a defensive minded coach. He built a defense to compliment the offense. That's what I believe Cowher can do as well to any team that will hire him in the future. If it's the Panthers, that's exactly what we need. We already have the linebackers, he'll just have to fix the line and defensive backs as well as the whole scheme in general.

For offense, all we need is a QB and a compliment to Smitty. We have the line and RBs and TEs already.

Well bottom line. Geoge Seifert failed when he coached in carolina. Does not mean the same thing would happen to Bill coward. Every coach is different. Aleast Bill comes in here with a 3-4 scheme that so far in the league has worked well for teams in the league. Plus bill is coming here with a real good trach record of having great teams and Ds. He also can develope great players aswell. Remember Kevin Greene and Greg Lloyde and so on from the steelers of the early 90s:smilewinkgrin:

Ok George seifert inhertied the 49s with great talent in Steve young, Jerry Rice Ricky Waters and a up and coming star in TO at that time. GS came to caroline and proved he did what he did. Is just inherted a great team. That proved GS could not builded a winning team. Plus GS acted like Fox is doing right now. Been layed back and looking like he doesn't care one bit about the team.

Bill coward on the other hand has proven that he can build a team up and win. wheather it took him 15 yrs are not to win a SB. The issue is not about the SB in Carolina near future. The issue is getting a coach in here who can win right away with the talent we have. Bill Coward is the man who can do that. Bill coward 15 years with the PB steelers only had 5 lossing seasons. So you can not compare GS to Bill Coward one bit.

Then you got a group of you who wants a new young coach altogether. Now I admit for the past few years a few teams in the NFL has had sucess in their first year with a unknown new HC. Like the Falcons, MD, Ravens, Saints and Jets. Justs to name a few. But there had been other teams in the past few years who have not done good even with a new unknown coach. Browns is one of them. But bottom line. You never know if you will win with a new yound coach are not. I wheather bring in Bill coward a Coach who has proven to win straight out and build up a team from the groud up. If Bill was to come in. I would bet you in the first year we would be right back in the playoffs. We have the talent on both sides of the ball. It's only a matter of new GM get Bill in here to coach and Releasing Jake and bring in a new young mobile QB to do the job. Plus we will have the 3-4 scheme back in carolina since the days of Dom Capers. Also some one said Mike Holmgram wanted to coach the panthers. Mike Holmgram is a decent coach. But holmgram ain't won the SB since 1996.

How much of the Steeler 34 was built by Cowher? Dick Lebeau will probably be the first assistant coach to go into the hall of fame. Also Davis and Beason are shorter than 34 linebackers and will be less effective in that scheme. It would be a multiyear process.

The best case for the Panthers would be for Fox to go back to being the hard ass he was that first year. I do believe he has become a bit complacent. This may be a total collapse but the team has always rebounded pretty well in the past under Fox.

Well Fox will never change the bend but don't bring scheme. Most likly Fox is gone after this season anyway if he has bad year. Main because fans will because calling for the owner to fire him. Because if not. Then next year the seats in the staduim will be very empty next year. Then that = black out games for the local fans. Then that = lose of money for the team. Jerry will fire him unless he likes seeing money go bye bye. Then if Jerry should come in as the new Hc. I am pretty sure he will go to a 3-4 scheme. Since that is the scheme he has runned most of his carreer with the steelers.

....LOL, No not at all. I meant that Fox had early sucksess and was trying to gurard his Rep for winning. He got conservative and forgot what got him to the lime light...Think if he played like he had nothing to lose we'd be better...... I wouldnt question ur Rep at 33 G's...lol.
