Dead Weight: One Player Each NFL Team Should Release

It was reported shortly after Barnidge was cut that he may visit the Panthers. Now whether that was an actual report or just speculation is unclear. Seems likely that we would've at least reached out to his agent to see what they were looking for. Maybe he's looking foe more than we want to spend or maybe he's looking for an opportunity to start. Who knows?

All I know I'd that if we could swap put Dickson for Barnidge for roughly the same cap hit, we should've already done it.

Yeah, I'd really like to know what he's looking for. I guess we won't find that out until another team signs him though

28. CAROLINA PANTHERS – ED DICKSON, TE

While most analysts have been projecting offensive lineman Michael Oher to be cut at some point during the offseason thanks to concussion concerns and misdemeanor assault charges, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Oher to keep his roster spot. The Panthers are extremely diligent about maintaining depth on the O-line

I thought it should be him before I even opened the thread. It's hard to believe that G-man couldn't find better the last couple of seasons.

With Tolbert and Remmers gone, it had to be him. No one else is really dead weight.. Maybe Gano but nowhere close. The fact that there's only one or two people on this team that we could even consider dead weight isn't so bad

In any other situation, a plàyër with the worst stats for accuracy in the whole league would be part of this discussion, but not here at the Wonder Woman waifu club...

That said, Dickson.

I'm getting the feeling you coached back in the day when they wouldn't allow the black kids on the white kid teams.

It is super retarded that Dickson is still on the team and we haven't called Barnidge. Another example of Rivera's blind loyalty to certain players.

Or maybe Barnidge didn't want to be a panther.

He's brought in a few younger guys, but no one has stepped up. I really thought Beau was going to be that guy last year...oh well. I do agree that he has not made a legitimate effort to find someone either via FA or an upper to mid level draft pick.

He would have a real hard time getting many balls thrown his way. If things are going well wecwoukd hope for Olsen to see a drop in production too. It would indicate others doing more.
