Draft Picks 2010

If we wait to the 5th to take a DT I would throw myself out the window. Its a fantastic year for DT´s so you could take a really good one in the 2nd.

I think our first pick should be either a QB or a DT.

If we keep sucking the the rest of the year we would have been in a position to take Suh... Now we have Brown:eek:

Ross would be a steal in the 5th IMO.

We might just do that. Next year we will have Kemo, Lewis, Leonard, Harris, Irvin, Hayden, and maybe Thomas.

Leonard is a keeper, as is Harris. Hayden should be cut. I would welcome Kemo back if he rehabs well. Irvin can pass rush. I could see Lewis being gone, I know that doesn't really make sense right now because he's the only healthy/consistent DT right now but its not like he's amazing at what he does.

I'd like to see us land a cornerstone FS in the draft. But we also have to see how Martin does an if Godfrey can get better.

I dont agree that Leonard is a keeper at this point. Its his 3rd season in the league and he is on his 4th team, and its not uncommon for undrafted players to be gangbusters until the league gets some info on them, before fading.

As for Kemo, I have never been a big fan, due mainly to the fact he is vastly overpaid for how one dimensional he is.

I think you are giving up on Hayden too quickly.

Thats a lot of ifs. Leonard could be good but he played very little before he got injured. Kemo is a big if to come back, the injury i had i not easy to come back from. Irvin have never played a snap i NFL and was a huge reach to begin with. Lewis is not a starter but best as a rotation guy. Hayden is garbage and Harris have played next to nothing i NFL and was a UDFA. Thomas is 500 years old.

We are desperate to get a 3 down DT. And a stud that is not another UDFA.

We need to go back to basic on this D. Lets gets some people up front and let them battle it out. Championship team are build in the trenches and we lack quality at the DT and dept at the O-line. Those two and a QB must be first priority. I know we could need some help at WR and maybe som secondary help but we could put Champ and Aso back there and little would it help with out line.

Do you have a great D and O-line you have a great base. Then you start surround those lines with talent.

But lets see who is coach at the end of the year first

Harris was a 6th round pick...i think we take another DT in the draft but after WR and QB

had to dig a bit, but some pretty good reading back there. Everyone wanted a QB. We didn't have a 1st so no way in h311 could we get Clausen or Bradford. Pike would be a good 2nd round pick if he fell that far.

The ones that wanted to trade up, we would have to settle with Bradford because Clausen is going #1 overall

Well we just had Clausen fall in our lap in the 2nd

And Pike in the 6th!!

Not a bad draft IMO even if we already have Moore. Competition is always a good thing.
