Draft Picks 2010

We aint got poo in the 2010 draft. We're screwed this season. Even if we kept Pep, he is playing to not get hurt, so he's gone. Smitty isn't the WR he used to be, moose is old, Jarret is a baby, Moore is our only hope for a WR. DWill and JStew will get the hell out of here ASAP if they have any brains, and Goodson fumbles too much. OL is looking better, but Gross will leave soon, I'll bet. DL sucks. Secondary is questionable. LB core is kickass as usual, but they will leave if they have any brains. We never use TE's. We're stuck with the second worst QB in the league for the next four seasons. We're gonna have a HUGE upset in the Coaching staff when the fans begin calling for Hurney, Fox, Davidson, and Meeks' heads.

This team is utterly screwed for the next five seasons if they don't pull their poo together and SOON. All around. Not just one or two positions. This team has been shoddy at executing ALL AROUND. If they tighten up, then they'll be set for a decent season. No playoffs, probably. It's too late for that now. But at least leave this season 8-8.

This post suggests that any team performing sub-par should immediately disband!!! No one should stick with them, they should go merely where they are offered the most money and have the biggest chance to win a super bowl, every single season! They will definitely be able to succeed when switching teams almost every year! Plus, old guys completely suck in the NFL and anyone over 30 doesn't play the game anymore! IT'S ALL SO CLEAR!

That's why Atlanta and Miami don't have fans anymore! oh wait..

Here's a pretty good, early report on the 2010 QB class on Walter Football:

http://walterfootball.com/draft2010QB.php

jramsey4 here's a great quote for you: Bill Parcells said "The Golden Calf of Bristol won't be a top-five pick, but he'll be a top-10 pick." I completely agree with you on The Golden Calf of Bristol. I doubt we see him as a Panther but I think he will be a good QB in the NFL.

The way it looks right now there may be up to 11 QB possibly taken in the 1st two rounds of the draft.

Jimmy Clausen - Notre Dame

Sam Bradford - Oklahoma

Jake Locker - Washington

The Golden Calf of Bristol - Florida

Jevan Snead - Ole Miss

Colt McCoy - Texas

Max Hall - BYU

Zac Robinson - Oklahoma State

Pat Delvin - Delaware

Tim Hiller - Western Michigan

Tony Pike - Cincinnati

This is a very deep class and I think no matter where the Panthers are when they make their first pick there should be a quality QB available if they want to make the selection.

If the Panthers 2010 draft looks something like this:

2. Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois(Illinois having a poor offense could make his stock drop)

3. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas(probably the best option available in the 3rd)

4. Nate Allen, FS, South Florida(good in coverage, good tackler)

5. Jay Ross, DT, East Carolina(big hoss in the middle, can also get to the QB)

6. Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas(a familiar option for Colt McCoy whos a good receiver in his own right and a good PR)

6. A.J. Jefferson, KR, Fresno State(the guy is explosive on returns)

7. Patrick Trahan, LB, Ole Miss(since taking a LB is mandatory)

I wouldn't complain.

That would replenish the WR corps including giving an heir apparent to Steve Smith. An explosive set of special teamer on both kickoffs and PR, one of whom is also a good receiver, both of whom can take it to the house. More depth in the LB corps, a talented young DT who doesnt just stand there to take up space. A talented young QB who will be if nothing else a good backup and a stop gap to a QB possibly taken in 2011 or 2012.

I think Max Hall has played his way out of the first two rounds..and i dont think jake locker comes out this year...Colt McCoy is overrated

If we wait to the 5th to take a DT I would throw myself out the window. Its a fantastic year for DT´s so you could take a really good one in the 2nd.

I think our first pick should be either a QB or a DT.

If we keep sucking the the rest of the year we would have been in a position to take Suh... Now we have Brown:eek:

We might just do that. Next year we will have Kemo, Lewis, Leonard, Harris, Irvin, Hayden, and maybe Thomas.

Leonard is a keeper, as is Harris. Hayden should be cut. I would welcome Kemo back if he rehabs well. Irvin can pass rush. I could see Lewis being gone, I know that doesn't really make sense right now because he's the only healthy/consistent DT right now but its not like he's amazing at what he does.

I'd like to see us land a cornerstone FS in the draft. But we also have to see how Martin does an if Godfrey can get better.
