Off topic.

But why in the hell do the players wear long sleeves, hoodies, sweat shirts, long pants, etc.... when you can cook eggs on sidewalks?

I have never understood this.  Is it to sweat more?  Get acclimated to the heat getting ready for TC?

Just makes no damn sense.

There's some science behind it.  Just look at the Middle East and their choice to wear long robes to protect the body from direct sunlight.

You got a picture before Jeremy and Bill Voth did

He took it from the Panthers. It was on their Instagram so likely the full size is on Panthers.com

hey man, sorry that us panther fans are excited about our top 10 pick. we'll try to keep the optimism down and talk more about how players on other teams are so much better than our guys.

We were 6-10 last year.  Not much to be optimistic about, yet.

LF is not built to be a 3 down back.  He will likely be one of the heaviest starters in the NFL, and we have no clue yet if he can catch or pass protect.

He may well end up being "better than McCaffrey", but I don't think for a second that he would be more valuable that CmC will be to this team.

McCaffrey is exactly what this team needed during the Super Bowl, not another banger.  That's how I'm looking at this.

I think he would be more valuable here for sure.  We're a power running team.  But, we have McCaffrey.  So, it is what it is.

Oh boy. You're stupid if you actually think Fournette would be a fit in the Panthers scheme. You understand it's a zone based power shotgun scheme, while Fournette sucks from the shotgun and needs a downhill path, which Cam isn't that comfortable at.

Cam is find from behind the Center, and Fournette is just find from the Zone Read.

Won't argue with that.

Which is why the concept of "evolution" excited me.

I just wasn't convinced, until they picked CMC, that they were serious about it.  I was fully convinced up until the pick was made that Rivera and Shula's idea of "evolution" was "now we're going to run the ball EVEN MORE and EVEN HARDER!"  And, if that had been the case, I think they would have at least attempted to move up for Fournette.

You honestly think Shula can evolve?  Has he shown anything?

Do I honestly think he CAN?  My experience with Shula over the years, I'd have to say no.

Do I honestly think he will TRY?  Yes, I do believe Ron and Mike saw the writing on the wall as to (as I just pointed out) the consistency of their "run the ball, run the clock" offense.

Playing for a low scoring game is utterly in opposition to what the NFL wants (for TV ratings) and, thus, have set their rules for.  They've constructed their rules to encourage passing and scoring.

Can "ball control" still win in the NFL?  Probably.  But I think the odds are better if you set up your offense to score as much as possible rather than to score just enough and try to keep the ball out of the other guys hands.

Yes. If being the worst rb from college in production from shotgun is what you call "fine," there's no hope. At best he's below average from shotgun, with his elite traits are capped under that system. He's an elite back from a downhill scheme under center, not from shotgun.

Cam only had 9.2% of his snaps from under center. It's not his strong point.

The fact you just said he's a fit in our scheme is pretty laughable, as we'd have to change offensive philosophies to accomodate one of these players, with one of them having their potential capped. McCaffrey is a perfect fit from the shotgun, so he makes far more sense.
