I think the Huddle is being collectively possessed by the spirit of Al Davis...

Why?  Because people disagree with you?

Maclin has some of the best hands in the league.  I like Decker also but it is what it is.

Little bit of both but if you have a 2nd that can actually block and have decent hands you want tip off the Defesne that's it's a running play and keep them guessing every snap vs having a extra tackle. The addition of McCaffrey and Samuels should spread the field where defenses can't consistently have 8 man box to stop the run game and this will open up the outside running lanes  as well

I agree with you on not tipping your hand, but we used the #2 TE almost exclusively as a blocker whether we were running or passing. He was basically used like a really shitty, really undersized OT.

I also agree that we're going to look to spread the field more this year, hemce fewer two TE sets.

No, because everyone has become completely obsessed with speed all of a sudden. Don't immediately assume butthurt.

reason being that 2nd TE was not talented receiver, im not suggesting 2TE set 100% of the time but we will be using  it good amount  based on the teams we face. 2nd TE allows you more flexibility  on offensive packages especially (facing 3-4 defenses) and compliments when you have 2 small Guys  in the lineup with  Samuels  & CMC

*Pass blocking and blitz pickup while the playmakers go make plays

Dickson is probably a better receiver than he is a blocker to be honest. He isn't very good at either.

I think Scott Simonson could be the guy, he has the size (6-5" 255lbs)   and the hands just need more opportunities. It seems like Panthers have been grooming him , he has been on the roster for 2 season could be the season to show out if they cut Dickson and give him his snaps .

His actually reminds of Barndige who started out as a blocker and developed into a receiver.

What depth at WR? We have POTENTIAL at WR, but right now KB is our only real proven NFL WR. Funchess hasn't amounted to anything so far, Samuel is a rookie, Shephard is a career special teamer, and Johnson is just a shot in the dark. The rest of the WR corps is basically camp fodder.
I highly doubt we pursue either Maclin or Decker, but I would love it if we did.

This. I doubt our organization has interest in either guy but no one can deny that having either of these guys would give us a proven wideout. We are short on those kind of guys at the moment.
