Mariota has a great offense around him. Same for Prescott and Wentz. Makes me wish we took our offense as seriously as they have when Cam started out. We basically wasted his first 4-5 seasons.

Had to drag our way out of salary cap hell first. And Cam's first few season he had a lot of weapons, Olsen and Shockey, Smith and Lafell, Dwill and Stew. Our defense was poo his rookie season so we added a lot on that side.

Can't reason with the negative Nancy's on this site. Everything is Gettleman's fault even though he had to drag us out of a terrible cap situation like you said. We're supposed to have all-pros at every position like every other team in the league does

Can't say I agreed with all of his moves but considering that we haven't had a high draft pick recently (besides this year) and the last few OT draft classes have been pretty weak, he's done a decent job assembling the offense.

Mariota was fortunate enough to have a solid OL and an OT drafted top 10, and the Titans should compete for the AFCS with that offense. Mediocre defense will doom them in the playoffs anyway.

I haven't agreed with all of his moves either, but he's done way more good than bad. I just find it funny to see the people that complain about everything he does

It wasn't like our defense was dog poo or anything like that....

Lafail had that nickname for a reason. DWill and Smith were facing the end of their time and production here. What we should've done at the least though was update the line better than what we fielded. The Bell, Amini, Chandler line was God awful and one of the worst in football. Wish we would've attacked that more. I feel like that has been neglected for most of Cam's career. Also, there isn't any excuse for the inaction we took last offseason for the team as a whole. However, I think we're in a good position now though. Probably DG's best offseason. I just hope Cam has more prime years ahead of him. It just irks me thinking back to the olines he's previously had and the beatings he has taken.

When you learn other people have different opinions, you will become more at peace with yourself. You could also at least address the person you have an issue with instead of the passive aggressive nonsense you seem favor all the time.

Haven't really been any good OT's at our positions in the draft or that went to FA. Trade wise would have cost us a lot for a starter level OT. He found Pro Bowl talent G's in the 3rd round and an UDFA.

Dwill had 900-1000 rushing/receiving yards each of Cam's first 3 seasons. Smith average 1100 yards receiving Cam's first 3 seasons. Lafell wasn't great but averaged 600 yards first 3 seasons as the #2 WR and 3rd/4th receiving option.

In a perfect world we would have had some cap space after we drafted Cam to make a move to shore up the OT's while adding weapons at WR like the Titans are doing now with Mariota.

TN drafted Mariota 2nd overall.

Gave him two stud blockers, 1st rounders

gave him two talented runners

a very good TE

Drafted a WR high in the 1st this year

and then added Decker

And, we keep praising DG for giving Cam mediocre talents to surround him. Yay to Nanee, Yay to Remmers, Yay to Sheppard  and Charles Johnson (TBD).

This is truly an idiotic post.. No wonder you keep getting banned

How is that post "idiotic?"

Out of all the posts you could have chosen out of his plethora of..."craziness," you choose a post that is hard to argue against.

Look, I know that the grass is always greener, but I think that it's a stretch to insinuate that the Titans haven't done a fine job trying to help Mariota out the last couple of years, and I think that it's fairly obvious that they did a better job helping him out than we did helping Cam.

It's great to sign all those guys but you can't add high picks or high priced free agents without

1)Being a bad team and having top 10 picks

2)Having cap space

Since Cam has been here up until this past season we DID NOT HAVE CAP SPACE

And we haven't been a team picking in the top 10 excluding the 9th overall in 2012 aka Luke Kuechly, and 8th overall this year McCaffrey.

You're not gonna be able to bring in great LT prospects in the teens, and at the bottom of the draft or in FA without cap space. This was the 1st season we had it and you see what happened (Kalil, Peppers, Munnerlyn, Adams, Johnson, Shepard).

Instead of signing JAGs and obviously investing a lot of money on defense, Gettleman could have chosen to dig a little deeper and invest more on the offense. That was a choice. There have been players signed for a relatively cheap price by other teams that would have been nice to have here. Again, it's all about choices.

That being said, no one is perfect at building a team, so I'll live with Gettleman's choices without too much criticism or consternation. It would have been nice to actually land a proven wide-out that everyone wants as opposed to reject question marks. Maclin's deal was doable, and I'm sure Decker's was even easier. Gettleman could have chosen to sign a couple of better LTs over the years also, but he allocated resources elsewhere. I'm not buying the broke card.
