Since you're a Saints rep I can see why the logic is lost on you...teams carry 5-6 receivers, your team is paying a 1/3 of the money dedicated to the receiver group to one guy in a group of five or six. 

That is not back up money given how much of the receiver payroll he's accounting for, Thomas and Ginn outside, and Snead in the slot. Ginn isn't a slot receiver, he runs the vert,the deep post, deep comebacks, and reverses. For better or worse he's gonna be the #2. 

I never said it was a lot of money to begin with, but it's not back up money, and you don't pay one guy a third of the money dedicated to a position group to be the 4th receiver. He's a cheaper, less talented version of Cooks that is the role he will fill in (deep threat). Snead doesn't scare a defense over the top.

He'll probably be more productive than he has been at any other team besides the Panthers. That being said, we all know who Ginn is and what his limitations are. I'm more concerned with AP potentially returning to form.

Isn't Carson Palmer like Drew Brees lite? Still did nothing in AZ. I'll take the wait and see approach on this one though. We keep having big games (for the most part) between these two teams so anything is possible.
