Ted Ginn Jr.

Recommended Posts

Like others, Brees provides good hope for a solid season from Ginn, and as a fan while he was here, he can, and will frustrate the fan base with his inconsistency, and he's only getting older, he is, what he is...a big play, or a big drop waiting to happen.

    • I don't think they are really crapping on brooks as a personal thing.  Its the fact that he was a luxury pick when we had holes everywhere.  It's the fact that good running backs are regularly found on day 3.  It's the fact he was coming off a pretty big injury and wasn't going to be available, and last of all it's the fact that  it makes us nervous that getting earlier draft picks may not benefit us because Morgan may pick the wrong players again anyways.  All that adds up to a lot of angst.  I don't think anyone is mad at Brooks or happy he got hurt.  In the end the anger has nothing to do with him really.
    • This is one of the biggest and more exciting differences for sure. He seems so elusive now and he sees blitzes as a chance to punish other teams. It's like.... If they don't get him, we're about to get a 20 yard gain, lol.  He used to panic when people got near him and now he just maneuvers and finds the open player... It's pretty impressive, and a big reason I'm not worried about him being 'figured out.' That play out of the endzone yesterday was just amazing
    • Doesn't mean it's not a hard catch, and the point still stands that a number of things going differently earlier in the game prevents it from coming down to that situation. No game is ever won/lost on a single play, call, etc. That's the reality. Players need to step up when circumstances require, and especially a highly-touted first rounder (albeit a decidedly raw one), but it's a bit silly to sit and drill XL for having a weakness that everyone already knows he had like it's the only way Carolina could have ever won. Bryce's interception was ugly and set up Philly for a TD before the half, at least it seems that way from  the highlights and gameflow since I wasn't able to watch, Elliott's miss that I already mentioned, etc. The team drafted XL knowing what his weaknesses are and they have died by the sword at times this year. All part of the growing pains.
