Ted Ginn Jr.

Like others, Brees provides good hope for a solid season from Ginn, and as a fan while he was here, he can, and will frustrate the fan base with his inconsistency, and he's only getting older, he is, what he is...a big play, or a big drop waiting to happen.

    • 1st and 2nd rounders should be solid contributors day one. I mean why would you draft a project 1st and a player starting on IR 2nd? You are banking on a gamble of a huge upside or you don't know how to evaluate talent.  I think XL is salvageable, Brooks is really behind the 8 ball. We should have been able to nail 2 day one contributors out of these picks. We'll see where it goes I guess...
    • The problem is I'm not sure how we do that this offseason I don't want any cap room spent on offense, every available dollar needs to go into upgrading the defense with vets who can step in from day 1 and contribute.  Any offensive free agents should be super cheap, such as backup OL or something, not starter money. Also, if we're lucky enough to draft T-Mac with our 1st, it also means we're likely going to need to use the rest of our draft picks on defense as well, at the very minimum, our 2nd rounder would need to be defense. So really 3rd round pick is our best chance at finding a center this offseason, beyond that, not sure we have much of options unless we sacrifice defensive spending, but after spending so much in FA last year on the OL, not sure it makes enough sense to do it again.
    • As a huge Bryce critic I have become cautiously optimistic. The biggest takeaway I’ve had from the past few games is he is starting to make some of the off script plays that he wowed everyone with at Alabama. When he attempted that kind of stuff last year it usually ended horrendously. I am hoping he continues his upwards trajectory and we are able to put together a competitive team around him in the next year or 2 before we have to decide whether to pay Bryce the big bucks or not.
