I often wonder what these so-called patriotic people do in their daily lives that actually contributes to the well-being country.

They probably wear a flag t-shirt or two and tell people to leave if they aren't happy. That's the definition of patriot.

the most American thing ever said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it," - Evelyn Beatrice Hall under her pen name of SG Tallentyre.

This is the heart of what America means, other than lines on a map.  Supporting Craperdick's statement is exactly what this is about.  Whining about him not agreeing with your point of view is the exact opposite.

If I was a Cleveland Browns fan, I would be mad as hell that they aren't bringing in Kaepernick.  If I was a Minnesota Vikings fan, I would mad as hell.  If I were a Broncos or Jets fan, I would be steaming.  By these teams choosing not to bring in a guy who's had good success, who is young, they show to me they don't care about winning.  This guy is not a murderer, he committed no crime, and yet teams are staying away from him like the plague.  It's not like this guy is The Golden Calf of Bristol or an RG3.

Ultimately what I'm saying is, there aren't a lot of great QBs in the league.  For teams who are perennial dumpster fires to pass on a guy who's been apart of successful runs, is absolutely disgusting in my book.  Think about it, if Jimmy "Pickles" Clausen was still our starting QB here, would yall not be screaming for Kaepernick?  This is a question I want serious answers to.  Anybody?

Headcases can beat their wives and girlfriends or kill dogs for sport and fans will still clamor to have them on their favorite teams, but have a QB with better stats than most of the league's backups (and some of the starters) exercise his constitutional right to protest and he suddenly is persona non grata.

Hardly surprising, this is the same society that views nudity offensive/sinful, but will unhesitatingly expose their children to violence, murder, blood and guts for family entertainment.
