I hope I wasn't this bad when I got out.

Oh I was then I woke up.

Your opinion.  My opinion has nothing to do with MY SERVICE.  My opinion has to do with being an American and respecting the symbols we stand for. He represents a disrespectful approach to our country and our flag.

Some think it was money, some think it was talent, most think as I do.  Go read the NYG take that was posted on NFL.com or CBSsports.com a week or so ago and you'll see most fans don't want him because he chose the wrong way to go about his crusade.

Ownership doesn't want the distraction and while they may agree he has a right.  They have a right not to sign him for what he stood (kneeled) for.

I pray that S.O.B. never sees an NFL field again.  Hell Canada loves the snowflakes maybe he can go there.

Well I will say this..America is not the America of old..It has changed i am not sure but it is still better than other countries...The flag is to represent justice for all and right now the country is not representing that...if you are recognizing the old ways then fine but this age of America is up in the air...I feel he should not be punished for excercising his rights..that is what  wrong...very few people are willing to stand for whats right because of fear of what they may loose or reputation.  I commend KAP for doing what many had no balls to do..Even though others may have chose different paths ..he put his front line and center.

Teams take into consideration locker room distractions, and the public's attitude towards Kaepernick would be one. If he was definitely starter material, it wouldn't matter. Someone would sign him.

But if it was close, if he was not clear cut starting material,  the distraction would be enough to keep him from being signed. I suspect that is what is happening here.

There's also this angle out there...

PFT: More talk that Seahawks didn't want Kaepernick competing with Wilson

The big problem as stated before is Kaep wanting a bunch of money...he needs to check his ego for a year or two on a short deal to prove he is a capable player before asking for a big payday as for right now his past few years were less then impressive in comparison to his first few seasons with Harbaugh.

I know, I know....it is his right.   Got it.

Well it appears that most ALL clubs feel like I do.

On top of that he stinks as a QB.

i dont believe they feel like you do. it's more about the flack they might receive from people like you and it doesnt outweigh his value on the field at this point.

The same owner and fans that apparently have more of a problem with Kaep peacefully protesting than a player on that squad that beats his wife. If you, Mara, and "the fans" want to take that side, then by all means *shrugs*.

Probably not in your best interest to bring up the Giants situation. You were wrong and disrespectful when you came in here a month ago spouting off that Kaepernick hasn't done anything to back up his protest, and you look shaky by bringing up the Giants situation.

You are right when you say most fans think like you do. I'll give you that. It's sad, but you are right about that.

Austin Davis better fits the Seattle offense.  He's a smart QB with good leadership.

He was pretty good (although too many INT's) as QB for the Rams in 2014.  But who was good for the Rams?  Nobody. Can't blame it entirely on him.

Games: 10

Att: 284

Comp: 180

PCT: 63.4%

YDS: 2,001

TD: 12

INT: 9

QBR: 85.1

This is a lie. You came in a previous Kaepernick thread stating how you felt disrespected and how you gave up your youth for this country. So, while you're opinion may not be solely because of your service, it does play a role in your opinion.

lol at people really believing 32 rich mostly conservative men are making a purely business decision.

Citing them signing someone that broke the law doesn't prove anything because politics often outweighs morality.

Beat your wife? Thats okay. Sign him!

uhhh Go against my politics ? well thats un-american of you and we can't have that

Not wrong in the least bit.  Most of those so called things he was doing had very little to do with "his cause".

Kaepernick is a POS.  And I would rather Ray Rice and Greg Hardy return to football that Kaepernick.

The Giants are just one squad that considered him.   You can bet your ass that Carolina would NEVER consider him. EVER.

I am on one side of the fence and you're on the other.

I now understand why you side with Mara and the Giants. You just named 2 men who beat their women, and you'd rather them back than a man who peacefully protested? Man o man...

You were wrong, but the problem is you don't fully understand what Kaepernick was standing or kneeling for. You have such a strong opinion for something you don't fully grasp. Tell the parolees that were donated suits by Kaep that his contributions weren't important. Who, by the way, went and protested on behalf of Kaep at the NFL headquarters. Tell the AFSC (American Friends Service Committee), a group that works with the justice system as a whole, that his contributions don't matter. Tell Assata's Daugters, Grassroots Leadership, HOME, all the boys and girls who have taken part in his Know Your Rights seminars that his contributions and kneeling didn't matter. That's millions of people who have been directly affected by Colin's protest and contributions, but to you they're meaningless. That's why I bring up disrespect. You and many others who think like you, feel your beliefs trump all.
