Coaching is why Jarrett shows bust

you taking a dig at me about Jake Delhomme and saying I think all his passes are completed?

makes no sense, has no relevance, and now you're trying to push some point after pretending you didn't want an argument. Make a point or move on.

:D :hand:

I'm not the one who stated as an absolute that he knows the offense, you are. There are players who are on the field for only certain plays or situations. I.E. Everette Brown. Do we KNOW that he knows the whole entire defensive scheme? Maybe, maybe not. But he's out there only situationally.

Right, and you just didn't answer the question. If you had, you know why and how I said that.

No. But thanks for this walk down a fairly irrelevant topic for no reason.

At any rate, Jarrett's hands aren't that good. Someone said better hands than Smitty?

You know, the guy who won the triple crown.

So, no. Not better hands than Smith.

He doesn't get open. I can't say this enough. He doesn't get open. No one else is going to coax him into getting open.

what makes you say Jarrett's hands aren't good? There is plenty to knock him on and that ain't one of them.

Yeah, Smitty won the triple crown back in 05. Yeah, Smitty is a beast. But the past few seasons Smitty's hands haven't been that great.

I'm not saying Jarrett has the best hands.....but he could have them.

Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett expressed frustration with his role in the offense.

"It's difficult when you're not out there. There's really not much you can do. When I do get out there, I try to give it my all," said Jarrett. The Panthers rarely run three-receiver sets, and Jarrett is nowhere close to taking any snaps from Muhsin Muhammad or Steve Smith. Even Kenneth Moore has taken away some reserve snaps from Jarrett.

You guys are ridiculous. How many times have we seen in the replay that every receiver on the field is open, EXCEPT steve smith, who jake throws the ball to anyway.

That answers this thread completely.

Yea his decision making is quite horrible. It seems the older he gets the more he forces the ball to Smith. The funny part is Smith keeps telling him he is open. I watched Brady yesterday get the ball to 4 different Players and none of them were Randy Moss.

Doesn't look the ball in, doesn't time his jumps well when he needs to. Doesn't attack the ball at its highest point.

In preseason he could've easily led the league in not getting to a ball thrown to him. If a team's going to leave Jarrett wide open and give him time to stop, settle into one, and brace, sure. But "getting everything thrown to him" means going up for them, and he doesn't do that.

Without getting into "he doesn't get open", which could've easily ended this thread a day ago. In a perfect world, Byron Leftwich could throw to Jarrett every down, overthrowing him every time. Leftwich could look around wondering how it got away and Jarrett could look around wondering where it went.

Jake targeted 9 receivers against Dallas. He targeted 9 against Atlanta. One of those two he did target Smith 15 times, but the other Muhammad got more targets. I don't think that's a real issue.

Jarrett isn't physical enough and has lots of faults....but he does have good hands. Again, Jarrett has made the catches on Sundays...and he has gotten open. He rarely even gets to be on the field......so the statement he can't get open is based on what? The 2 out of three snaps he got onto the field and wasn't thrown to. Put Smitty on the field for only 4 plays and then you could argue he couldn't get open depending on the game.
