Coaching is why Jarrett shows bust

He might be behind both Fitzgerald and Anquin Bolton in Arizona as Bolton is a run with the ball kind of receiver who is bigger and as fast as Smith. In New Orleans he could easily be behind Colston although Brees seems to get everyone involved.

Is it that the Panthers can't draft guys who can make it in the NFL or are we drafting good talent that Fox can't develop?? Honestly I think we have not have very good talent. And I would agree that we definitely need a good number 2.

Damn, we might even agree on something?????

Hell has frozen :D

I believe it's not only about finding the right guys, talent wise, but also the guys who have the mental capacity to learn.

WR is not a position where you can step in right from college and use pure speed or brute strength to succeed at. Welcome to the NFL. People are as fast as you here. You have to learn the plays, learn to be a better route runner, run blocker, etc.

We've drafted guys with the talent to do it (hint: there are tons of these) but just not the guys who have the mental capacity to make the transition from college to pro.

Wasn't our WR coach in the old regime too? Hasn't he coached up Smitty to be a WR from a punt returner? I'm not sold on this guy, but I'm not going to say he's 100% terrible either.

We were 0-2 in 2006 and 7-8 in 2004 without him.

We won the chicago game last year because of our defense and our running game. SD was a shocker!

Like I said 2004 wasn't really germaine as we were missing a bunch of other guys as well so Smitty wasn't the reason by a long shot. So you are left with 2-2 which is not very conclusive either way.

As for Chicago we actually won due to good defense in the 4th quarter and a patented 4th quarter comeback by Jake. Stewart also did a good job of running the ball to control the clock and limit Chicago's chances to come back.
