Since all the bad plays are always all Cam's fault and never Shula's, I'm sure you'll understand the parallel to that logic and agree with me that the 2015 offense and all its good plays were to NONE of Shula's credit, but all to Cam's.

Correct?

Really a stupid debate since they work hand in hand and they both influence the playcalling. Still Cam has final say and is responsible for the execution to the extent he can control so you could argue it is at least 50% him perhaps more considering he is on the field and Shula isn't.

Sarcasm doesn't translate well in text and many here might be serious. I see folks misquoting common sayings all the time so I was just checking. Glad to know your not one of them.

did you miss the whole cam saying hindsight is 50-50 thing? My post was an allusion to that. Sorry for the confusion

Yeah after you guys mentioned it I vaguely remember it. I had totally forgot that. Another senior moment I am afraid. LOL

If only there was a way to play a series of competitions throughout a season so that improvements could be made as it went on.

Yeah and as those competitions go on for hours it would be great if changes and tweaks could be made to improve throughout each contest.

Why even one day teams could scheme to their strengths and create mismatches to exploit other's weaknesses and even recruit competitors who possess particular skills to be used in specific situations. Imagine the possibilities............. .....    ....

Nah

Not once have I ever claimed that all the bad plays are Cam's fault. All I'm saying is that it's stupid to put all the blame on the OC when the QB runs the offense and has a hand it it too. I have also explained that the lack of a conventional running game has hurt the offense as well and that goes hand in hand with the O-line injuries. I fully believe that they will get it rolling again this year, but it is a fact that Cam doesn't have to always take the long throws. I know he's good at it and can make some fantastic throws but his consistency will improve if he just gets the ball out of his hands and let the playmakers do their thing. This is not complicated.

Just FTR, I think these labels people put on NFL offenses are over used too. Every team who runs a WCO runs the ball and uses play action passes downfield and every team who runs a Coryell style offense has plenty of short passes in their playbook. The only real difference anymore is the language they use and what they emphasize. We have emphasized running the ball and passing downfield more because it fit the personnel we had up until now, but there is no rule that says they can't tweak that to accommodate the new talent on the team and I believe that's exactly what they will do. I also believe Cam can adjust to it just fine. He's plenty smart enough and talented enough. It's just a matter of putting his mind to it.
