But, but, don't trade for Joe Thomas. He wouldn't of helped us.

Hell why not trade for Antonio Brown and JJ Watt. Why not trade for every high OVR player on Madden?

This no way in hell they would trade him. They'd toy with the idea of our #8 pick but that's it.

They had a terrible OL outside of him. Got rid of any other OL that was worth a damn. Took a Beating from the media for it for pretty much setting the QBs up for failure. QBs took a Major beating from it (look at all the QBs they went through) even had Pryor who was their leading WR have to slide back over and play QB because they were out of them.

Brown's learned as you can see they made some moves in FA to help the OL everyone ripped them for. The last thing they are going to do is trade away their all-pro LT.

Just as good a chance we trade away Luke or Olsen as them trade Thomas.

Ready for the off-season to end so you don't see these Madden la la land threads

To be fair, every other team in the league has a pro bowl LT and elite back-up on team friendly deals except for us.

I honestly think every team has pro Bowl players at every position and elite backups except for us. Stupid Gettleman.

He was 31 when the trades were speculated in 2015.  He's been the best LT the past two years in football, still.  Age or not.  I think he would've helped a little more than Vernon Butler.  Just FYI.

NOT TO MENTION.  He's getting paid LESS now than our current starting LT.  In Matt "I've had one good season" Kalil.

Say what you want, but if the Browns wanted a 1st for Joe Thomas and that's it.  The fact that Gettlemen didn't make that trade makes him look pretty stupid.

While you have your opinion about us trading for a 31 year old OT to say it makes Gettleman look stupid is way out of line.

There are many more factors than making a phone call and making a trade.  AT 31 the Browns may have wanted more than 1 pick. We were just coming out of Cap Hell. Thomas may have wanted a long term deal with the team that traded for him.  You nor anyone on this forum knows what transpired, if anything, with Thomas and the Panthers.  At his current age of 33, are you willing to change your plans and pick up a player that might have 2 maybe 3 years left over a player you hope remains with the team for many years?  Seriously, how many of our 1st rounders have we let walk after their initial contract.  Star might be the first and that is probably because we signed Butler last year.  So you are basically trading a player that you PLAN on being with the Panthers 8 or more years for a player that might not make it to three.

I was a proponent of signing him and thought he could be the missing piece but DG chose a different path and it worked out. Gettleman decided that Oher and Remmers would start for us in 2015 and If I remember correctly we went 15-1 and made it to the Super Bowl.  So how does that make him look Stupid?  2016 our O-Line had issues but mostly due to injury not actual talent.

Appreciate the arm chair GMing. I am sure you have a nice cold one next to you as you decide our fate.  Calling the actual GM stupid really gives your post no credibility.
