But, but, don't trade for Joe Thomas. He wouldn't of helped us.

I think you're overrating it. Browns have had him for the past decade and haven't done shit.

So, not having Joe Thomas the past two years wouldn't of helped us in anyway?  OHHHHHHHHHHHH K.  Gotcha.  Some people REALLY can't admit when they're wrong.

Mike Remmers and Michael Oher were our LT's the past two years.  First off, I think we win the Super Bown if that trade is made.  Second off, I don't think we finish 6-10 if that trade is made.

And honestly, I would've traded VERNON f ucking BUTLER for him, then, and now.

This. I would've loved to have picked up Thomas but given his age and what it would've taken to get him, not sure it'd be worth it. We went with a younger OT instead who can hopefully help us out for more than just a season or two. Cleveland wasn't going to just give him away, especially since they're planning on trying to break in a 2nd round rookie QB.

He was 31 when the trades were speculated in 2015.  He's been the best LT the past two years in football, still.  Age or not.  I think he would've helped a little more than Vernon Butler.  Just FYI.

NOT TO MENTION.  He's getting paid LESS now than our current starting LT.  In Matt "I've had one good season" Kalil.

Say what you want, but if the Browns wanted a 1st for Joe Thomas and that's it.  The fact that Gettlemen didn't make that trade makes him look pretty stupid.

ah good point I never thought of that.

They also haven't had a consistent WR, a consistent QB, and a consistent running game.  So...............yeah.  I would hope the best LT in football would be rendered useless if the weapons around him suck too.

I was being sarcastic lol. Thomas would instantly jump any offense without an elite LT up a leg. Good to great, great to elite. He consistently shuts down the best pass rushers in the game. Unfortunately for the browns they have never had even a decent offense. Gordon was fantastic for 1 season, but they still didn't have anyone else. Also there D is always complete poo. Would I have traded a 3rd rounder for him? You bet your ass I would've. Now, whether or not the browns wanted to trade him is a whole other question.
