KB doesn't win jump balls anymore. And Funchess has yet to prove his worth.

we dont have the resources to sign him. But in a world where they did have enough ? I'd pick up Barnidge and Maclin, cut Dickson . WRs : KB , Maclin, Funchess, Samuel, and probably Shepard in that order of importance

LOL @ people mentioning Devin Funchess' name as a reason not to sign Maclin. Maclin would be an immediate and huge upgrade over Funchess at #2.

With that said, we are almost certainly not signing Maclin.

Aren't the Chiefs god awful at WR? Just makes you wonder why they would cut him? Unless they tried to get him to take a paycut and he wasn't having it, in which case we don't have the cash to sign him.

I wouldn't take a pay cut either, if my QB was Alex Smith.  I bet playing with him is a nightmare for a speedy WR.
