Cam most famous NFL athlete in the world

Several of these are surprising to me.

  • I'm surprised Neymar is not higher than #6. Would expect him to be #1 or #2 behind Ronaldo.
  • Surprised to see Phil so high - #5. Would think Tiger is easily more famous still.
  • Ronda Rousey #16... Seriously? Ronda Rousey more famous than Tom Brady? Serena Williams? LOL

Who was I arguing with about how Leonard Fournette is an obscure RB that nobody knows outside of the US and they were arguing how huge of a star he was because he played SEC football?

Come forward and claim your prize there bud.

Game. Blouses.

Basketball is seemingly way more popular. Having spent the last 9 months abroad I never saw any NFL merchandise but plenty of NBA and even baseball jerseys. Actually a lot of NBA jerseys in  SE Asia.

Basketball is big in Asia.

Whatever executive in the Warriors front office decided to do Chinese New Year jerseys is a fuging genius and got themselves a billion plus more fans looking for a team to pull for after Yao retired.

I find it hard to believe that Derrick Rose is more popular than Cam. Or OBJ for that matter. But that's just me.

NBA is extremely popular overseas, whereas most non-Americans couldn't give a single crap about the NFL and (outside of Japan and Korea) MLB.

I'm kinda proud of the fact that I wouldn't recognize a single one of those soccer players if they were standing directly in front of me. Maybe it's because I find soccer repulsive and their players to be a bunch of pansies. As my son said when asked by his friends in HS why he stopped playing soccer: "why would I play a sport that I mastered at age 6?"

Congrats on you and your son's your ignorance! But I bet you cook one hell of a burger at the tailgate before an SEC football game. 'Murica!

Why the fug would Neymar be #1 or #2? He's not even the #1 guy on his team. To be honest, Neymar is overrated.

Neymar is the biggest name in soccer right now especially among young fans. He will overtake as the best player in the world by the next World Cup.

Oh, so you've mastered the ability to dribble past a defender, provide a cross to your teammate on the move, make a clearance in the box, score from 30 yards out in a free kick scenario, etc? Damn, why aren't you playing on the US National team then? Oh, wait. You're just a fake tough guy on the net.

Yeah, that was a ridiculously silly statement.

By next year he will?  Debatable.  Messi is still number 1 with Christiano Ronaldo dipping down a bit.
