Nothing Happening Between Colin Kaepernick And Seahawks So Far...

An excerpt at why Kaep's decision making and being a QB that makes his own decisions is why he's not a starter or even that good in the league:

But the Bradley McDougald interception in Week 7 against the Buccaneers was the most worrisome, as it showed mechanical failure, a bad read and Kaepernick going against his ideal instincts.

Here, McDougald (No. 30) is shadowing McDonald on an intermediate out route, and Kaepernick moves to his left to escape pressure. He's moving against the momentum of his own body, which forces him to make an arm throw to the sideline. It isn't a pretty result—he throws with his front foot extended, underthrows the ball and McDougald is able to jump the route easily. He was closing on the route with inside position as Kaepernick made the throw.

Just as troubling here is that Kaepernick had a free lane and tons of space to pick up yardage if he wanted to run. This was a 2nd-and-13 situation, so throwing the ball wasn't the only option. It's fair to wonder whether Kaepernick's mission to be a pocket passer got in the way of his base instincts here.

Just leaving it here as it is:

Just to clarify for the fact this QB hasn't signed with any team, and is currently unemployed for a supposed insanely good starter. The mere arguments some of you guys make for him as if this is due to politics is laughable. Just simply accept the fact the NFL considers him as a backup quality QB at best, and not the superstar starter some of you over-hyped him as.

Discuss. And try to keep it relevant and civil in here.

Nobody on this forum has said he was a "superstar starter" and nobody on this forum has over-hyped him...

i noticed you like cian fahey (i do too) and used his analysis to defend cam (as have i). how do you reconcile that with his take on colin kaepernick? fahey watched all of his snaps and said kaepernick had the best season of his career last year but was continually failed by his supporting cast and deserves a starting job in the nfl. i don't think you can accept his analysis of cam while rejecting his analysis of kaepernick when the methodology is the same.

I'll probably have to check out what he said about Kaep. Didn't realize he was a Kaep defender. I think he's a system QB and that he is a below average QB in general.

Granted, I didn't watch him last year but before that he just never seemed to see the whole field. Its either hit the first receiver or run. NFL defenses are too good to let you consistently beat them when you limit yourself like that

With the baggage he brings a team will have to be desperate.

plus he has no leverage in negotiations at this point

the really sad thing is, without the fycking politics, he'd be on a team now. Don't take me out of context. ( @The Red ) The people who hire people are exercising their right to free speech also, yes/no?
